Acer was among the first companies to highlight the Intel Core Ultra 200S processors in its Predator Orion 7000 gaming PCs back in September, two months before their official announcement. A similar situation is now unfolding with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5000 series graphics cards.
Acer announced that its gaming PCs will feature Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs. The company also disclosed a key specification, these cards will come equipped with GDDR7 memory.
For months, rumors about the memory capacity of the GeForce RTX 50 series have circulated online. According to Acer, the flagship RTX 5090 will boast 32 GB of next-gen GDDR7 memory, while the RTX 5080 will offer half as much at 16 GB. This information was confirmed in promotional materials for Acer’s Predator Orion 7000 gaming systems.
Interestingly, similar details were indirectly revealed earlier by Zotac, another manufacturer of GeForce cards, through updates on its website about the new models. Zotac also contributed to making this information more accessible, as Google search results now display the memory specs of the GeForce RTX 50 series.
According to recent rumors, the RTX 5080 will feature a GB203-400 GPU with 10,752 CUDA cores, 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, and a 256-bit memory bus, with a power consumption of 400W. Meanwhile, the RTX 5090 is expected to include a GB202-300 GPU with 21,760 CUDA cores, 32 GB of GDDR7 memory, and a power draw under 600W.
Nvidia’s next-generation Blackwell GPUs are expected to debut at CES 2025 in early January. The company is planning a GeForce 50 LAN event, during which the new graphics cards will likely be officially unveiled.
