Fans of The Witcher universe have reason to rejoice this week. While the next Witcher game is still quite a long way off and the Netflix adaptation is losing Henry Cavill, there is a new surprise for them. Andrzej Sapkowski, the creator whose novels inspired CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher series, has released a new book. It’s been 11 years since his last work about Geralt, and the new book is titled Rozdroże Kruków (The Crossroads of Crows), according to The Gamer, referencing a report by Redanian Intelligence. The book is featured in the latest issue of the Polish magazine Nowa Fantastyka, which also reveals the cover art.
What’s intriguing is that this book will explore a younger, teenage version of Geralt, likely before he fully masters his witcher abilities.
“This time, the master of Polish fantasy returns to Geralt’s teenage years, when he is just beginning to learn the ways of the witcher and must face numerous challenges. Armed with his two runic swords, he battles monsters, saves innocent maidens, and helps troubled lovers. Everywhere, at all times, he tries to abide by the code passed on to him by his mentors. The saga continues. The story never ends…” reads the synopsis of Rozdroże Kruków.
